On site at your location
Keeping track of your health is always possible, no matter where in the country your employees are located. A licensed nurse will come to your workplace to conduct health examinations in a safe environment.
Convenient home testing is also available, naturally guided by a nurse.
How a health examination works
OneLab’s health examination is designed to be simple, safe and flexible.

Examination
A licensed nurse carries out the examination on site at your workplace. For remote employees there are also digital options and home sampling. Mental health, lifestyle and work environment are assessed with validated questionnaires.

Follow-up
Results are analysed by our clinical staff and fed back individually through our user-friendly platform. Each employee has ongoing access to follow-up and advice from our medical team so the path to better health is clear.

HR and managers get access to aggregated, anonymised insights showing trends in the organisation and helping you make data-driven decisions in preventive work environment management.
Quality, science and safety
Accredited laboratory
Samples are analysed in CE-marked instruments at our accredited laboratory in Täby. We carry out approximately 350,000 analyses annually.
We are also a registered healthcare provider with IVO, the Swedish Health and Care Inspectorate, and our operations are governed by the Health and Medical Services Act.
Data protection under GDPR
All health data is processed in accordance with GDPR and the Patient Data Act. OneLab is a registered healthcare provider with IVO and uses healthcare-grade encryption.

Health examinations reduce sick leave
Studies show that companies carrying out regular health examinations and actively working with lifestyle habits can reduce both sick leave and presenteeism.
Research from the Swedish Agency for Work Environment Expertise (MYNAK) shows a clear link between employee health and employer costs. Employees with poorer health have both higher sick leave and so-called presenteeism, which leads to increased costs for the company.

What is included in a health examination?
What is included depends on which package you choose. Examples include digital health screening, blood tests, physical examination, personal feedback, self-help tools and an anonymised HR report.
Can the examination be done on site at our workplace?
Yes. OneLab offers on-site visits, home sampling and digital options so you can keep track of health wherever you are. We carry out health examinations across Sweden and internationally.
How often should a health examination be done?
Once a year is recommended to follow development in both physical and mental health. Mental health can change faster and can advantageously be assessed every six months.
Are health examinations tax-deductible for companies?
Yes. When the health examination is paid for by the employer as part of occupational healthcare it is normally tax-deductible and tax-free for the employee.
Should health examinations be subject to benefit taxation?
It depends. A health examination that forms part of the employer’s work environment efforts, is adapted to workplace risks and targets a whole group is generally exempt from benefit taxation. That is why it is important to choose a well-designed company health examination.
What does a company health examination cost?
The price depends on package, number of employees and setup. We provide quotes on request.
What effect do health examinations have on sick leave?
Studies show that reducing health risks can decrease sick leave by 1–2% and presenteeism by 2–9%, depending on how many lifestyle habits are improved.
