In this webinar, Oscar Karlsson, Head of Sales, Denise Almqvist, Registered Nurse, and Oskar Lewander, Head of Customer Success, discussed the health challenges facing companies and how OneLab’s tools can be used to identify and prevent ill health in the workplace. They also shared how insights from these tools can support HR and managers in a systematic work environment work.
3 important insights from the conversation
1. Catching the hidden ill-health early is the biggest health challenge for companies today
The traditional way of working with occupational health care requires the employee to identify themself as sick in order to receive the right care and help. Telling your boss or HR how you feel to get the right help; either via traditional occupational health care or in the jungle of public care, is often a high threshold to cross. This means that a large part of the ill health is not caught in time.
2. Increasing participation and following up on the results is crucial to reducing ill health in the organisation
By coming out to the companies and carrying out the health examinations, and using capillary blood samples (a prick in the finger), OneLab makes participating in the health examination easier. With digital, dynamic, and validated questions in our health check, we enable the identification of risks in employees’ mental health.
The fact that our medical team then actively follows up all employees with deviations, on both physical and psychological values, gives the employees insights and aids through motivational talks to understand their results and how they can improve. No one should be left alone with their results without guidance on what to do next!
3. By measuring ill-health, HR and managers get tools for pinpoint interventions
Investing in the right efforts is crucial for the well-being of the organisation. By measuring health in the workplace and following it over time, HR can see which interventions actually have an effect. In addition, there is a lot of inspiration to draw from other companies we work with. You shouldn’t have to reinvent the wheel!
